Skill game robbery reported at business on Greenville Avenue in Staunton

STAUNTON — Police claimed a Wednesday afternoon theft in Staunton at a talent match organization, just months after a gun-toting suspect robbed a very similar location on North Augusta Street.
At 12:49 p.m., police reported an worker at VA Ability Games, situated at 1202 Greenville Avenue, reported a man entered the company and demanded funds. Law enforcement reported the suspect was wearing a motorcycle helmet along with a mask, a white T-shirt, dark jeans, and white tennis footwear.
Capt. Chad Kauffman of the Staunton Police Section reported the suspect in Wednesday afternoon’s robbery did not show a weapon and did not show he was armed. Kauffman stated the suspect fled the space on foot.
There had been no patrons inside the organization and no accidents were documented.
An undisclosed amount of dollars was stolen.
The theft will come on the heels of an April 24 armed robbery at the Goldfish Recreation Home, located at 2303-C N. Augusta St. on the city’s north conclusion. In that incident, law enforcement said a person brandishing a handgun entered the organization, which was closed at the time, while it was remaining cleaned and stole an undisclosed amount of funds.
No expenses have been filed in both robbery.
